Maumee Valley Presbytery is the body of Christ, Presbyterian (U.S.A.), in northwestern Ohio and southeastern Michigan.  Our vision statement is:
Maumee Valley Presbytery – A Christian Community Witnessing, Embracing and Teaching God’s Love.

SYNOD GATHERING - JUNE 25-27 DEARBORN MICHIGAN

"The Many Faces of Mission"

A very special event has been planned by Synod PW to give women an opportunity to gather to hear a keynote speaker, Ruth Farrell, Coordinator for the Presbyterian Hunger Program, for hands-on mission (a quilt project), for Bible Study, worship, tours, fellowship and much more.  There has been every effort to make this an affordable week-end by moving to a church and local motels rather than on a university campus.  For more information please call Alyce Ann Schmidt at 419-332-9664.

MOBILE HEALTH FAIR

Maumee Valley Presbytery will once again be hosting the Mobile Health Fair June 25-July 2.  They will visit 8 sites including day and evening fairs.  Kits for distribution include shampoo, comb, soap, washcloth, toothpaste, tooth brush (packaged).  Nail brushes can be included.  Individual items that you may supply in bulk could be 2-4 oz. shampoos, soaps, and combs and toothbrushes (preferable individually wrapped), and toothpaste.  (Hotel size shampoos and soaps are acceptable - please no rattail combs.)  Dental floss, saline non-medicated eye drops and sunscreen with a minimum of 15-30 SPF will be distributed as they are available.  Chapstick has been purchased in bulk.  Cash donations are always appreciated too.  Cash would be used for follow-up care when a client is diagnosed as needing further vision or dental care.  Last year 80 people were sent to an optometrist for follow up and 60 received a new pair of glasses.  54 children and adults were sent for dental treatment.  Cash donations can be sent directly to the Maumee Valley Presbytery office, P.O. Box 853, Findlay OH 45839 indicating the donation is for Health Fair follow up care.

Questions regarding Health Fairs can be directed to Tammy Scheuermann, Synod Office 800-848-1030 or to Rev. Clair Brewer 419-433-6313 or to Alyce Ann Schmidt.
