About Us
Faith Christian Church was forged out of two churches in 2010. The Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) and the United Church of Christ (UCC) in Lima decided to work together to find a unified identity and mission while still participating in both denominations! We believe Jesus welcomed everyone so we strive for radical hospitality and complete inclusivity.
Worship
Our blended identity leads to diverse worship. We mix things up as we have blended worship which will contain praise songs as well as traditional hymns. Our video screens help us to include technological elements in worship. During the summer, we will even have worship outdoors! Also, come as you are. Jeans, khakis, suits and shorts are all welcome!
Services
Please join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for worship service.
Children 4 and under will be dismissed to Calvin Hall following the Children’s Message.
Sunday School for youth and adults is at 9:30a.m.
Sunday School is not offered during the summer months.
“The church on the hill” can be found just south of the Shawnee Country Club. With nearly 10 acres of land, our location is bordered by the Ottawa River and houses an outdoor shelter house, trails in the woods and a fire circle for great creation-based activities!
Maumee Valley Presbytery
Maumee Valley Presbytery is the body of Christ, Presbyterian (U.S.A.), in NW Ohio & SE Michigan.
Northwest Ohio Association for the UCC
United Church of Christ in Northwest Ohio, our role and mission is build and nurture connections between congregations.
Ch-Ki-Lo (Charity-Kindness-Love) Food Pantry
We collect donations and special offerings for this pantry, which serves residents in the Shawnee/Cridersville area.
Christmas Family
Each year we provide a generous Christmas to a family in need, sponsored through a local outreach organization.
Shawnee Children’s Program
One of the most identifiable characteristics of the church, this long time mission of the church is supported through donations by members and participation with the children.
Lent Round Robin Program
Each Lenten season, we host a community worship service (along with 7 other churches) which is ecumenical in nature, connecting us with other people in the Lima/Allen County area. Each of these Sunday evening services has a dedicated offering to go to a local food pantry.
Since our congregation has membership with two denominations, we participate in both denomination’s special offerings throughout the year.
We also help sponsor a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic each year.

The Shawnee Children’s Program has been in operation for over 30 years.
The philosophy of the Shawnee Children’s Program is to provide a safe, loving, Christian environment for children while their parents are at work, school or in training programs.
All staff have backgrounds in early child development. We are licensed with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Hours
We are open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Preschool and Daycare
Age appropriate developmental Pre-school skills are taught to ready your child for Kindergarten. We provide a safe, healthy and enriched learning environment with low classroom ratios. This program is a year round program.
Before and After School Program K-5th
We serve the Shawnee and St. Charles school district. We provide care not only for before and after school, but also for school delays, teacher in-services, school cancellations and school breaks.
Summer School Age Children
We provide a summer camp atmosphere for children which includes: skating, swimming, bide riding, bowling and park trips. A large playground and outside area are used for water-play and kickball games.
