Clerk’s Corner
Session Record Review
Each year in March or April, clerks gather to review one another’s minutes. The review of 2023 records will occur in March 2024. Like previous years, there are a couple virtual options on Zoom. There is also one in-person option. Clerks marked their calendars for one of the following events:
Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10:00am – via Zoom – https://us06web.zoom.us/j/4454596270?pwd=6xSuauRv99okF8fEFoPqPaDbcU7biV.1
Monday, March 11 at 6:30pm – in person at FPC Bowling Green
Saturday, March 16 at 10:00am – via Zoom
No pre-registration.

In preparation for the review:
For those choosing the Zoom option – Please contact another Clerk who lives close to you (or as close as possible). If you do not know another Clerk, please contact Lance Wiesmann (phone & email below), and he will help you get matched up. After you have made contact, arrange a time and place for the two of you to meet, and do your review between the two of you. There is also the possibility that you can do your review between the two of you via Zoom or in-person.
If you are coming to the in-person option, simply come with your minutes and other records, and you will be matched up at the meeting.
Review the 2024 Checklist (similar to last year’s FILLABLE PDF, but now also including new Book of Order requirements for Boundary Training, Harassment Policy, Anti-Racism Policy, etc. And do not worry if this was not done in 2023. For many of this it will be an exception/reminder for 2024) This list will help you in thinking about your own minutes and what another clerk will be looking for. THANK YOU ALL, in advance, for the AMAZING work you do to keep all of our Churches organized and functioning… ESPECIALLY in these trying times! You are appreciated!
Peace,
